This is the fight that Hatton is clamoring for supposedly, and has asked for in the past. If this match ever happens who would you take? Is this a dangerous match for Ricky or Floyd? What would the result of the fight be for the victor (TKO,KO, or decision)? How would the result of this bout effect each fighter's career?

Brent F ~
If this fight were ever to happen in my opinion, it would be a complete one sided event in favor of Mayweather. I personally can't stand Floyd, he's arrogant, he's a showboat, he talks too much and he likes to beat women, just ask the mother of three of his children Josie Harris. These are my reasons for not liking him but as a fighter, though untested, I believe he's fought the way better competition.
Even in fighting an old beat up Gatti and glass jaw Judah which in my opinion Ricky wouldn't beat either one of them. Floyd showed superior hand speed and skills and from the Callazo fight it's apparent that Ricky has a problem when it comes to fast fighters. Floyd seems to have brought his punch up with him and Ricky hasn't.
Ricky beat up a very old Kosta and that's what the people are hinging his "Greatness" on and I think it's a mistake. Ricky also had the benefit of fighting in his back yard and had a referee that never cautioned him once for using his head. Ricky needs to stay in England and feast on the weak competition they have been feeding him over there, make a little more money and retire comfortably and have the good people of England call him "Great" because if he leaves England and fights on the worlds stage of boxing (America) as he tried once before he will be exposed again and go down in history as yet another over hyped British fighter.
Floyd would stop Ricky on cuts and severe swelling in round 8, Ricky would plead to continue because he's tough and has the heart of a young Lion, but it obvious he can't do anything with Mayweather and will be trailing on all three cards and the referee would mercifully stop the fight.
Floyd goes on and keeps running his mouth about how "Great" he is and hopefully finally fights Margarito, gets knocked out and hopefully goes away were so many fighters just like him have gone (who cares) and Ricky goes back to England, fights a few more fights over there and retires.
Thanks for the question Brent.

Hatton - W 41 (KO's 30) TF 41 - W pct 100% - KO pct 73% - wins over F. Pendleton and Tszyu - KO'ed by none
Ricky is a decent fighter but I always have a problem with any fighter that has all his bouts at home.

F. Mayweather - W 36 (KO's 24) TF - W pct 100% - KO pct 67% - wins over Corrales, Judah, Gatti and S. Mitchell
Won 1996 Olympic Bronze medal at Feather wt
As of 2004 #2 ranked pound 4 pound current fighter
Titles at 130, 135, 140 and 147

Mayweather in a lop-sided 15 rd unanimous decision.

P. S. I pity the fool that thinks Hatton can beat Mayweather. It appears that someone never chooses a black fighter over a white one in "Dream Bouts"

Mayweather does not Run... in case you paid interest to the De l. a. Hoya combat you will see DLH did not something different than attempt to bum rush Mayweather with Flurries of untamed Punches. You the two decrease back up or stand there and get hit, and he subsidized up or perhaps whilst he replaced into against the ropes he stored his head guarded so DLH (Who replaced into punching together with his head down and wasn't even observing the place he replaced into punching-Watch) replaced into purely hitting shoulders and gloves... Mayweather has had much less potential than maximum of his fighters, Has been swarmed by making use of punches and has yet to be vulnerable to their punishment... Hatton has in no way fought every person with Floyd's velocity or protection and if he tries to bully Mayweather like he did Castillo or Kosta he would be busted up badly, and the combat will the two be stopped early or Mayweather will dance to an basic unanimous determination...

Mayweather would cruise to an easy decision Hatton's way to slow and crude to ever have Floyd in any trouble. This would be a boring fight just because Floyd outclasses Hatton so badly and never gets a glove laid on him.

Very interesting matchup Brent! I believe that Mayweather is the superior boxer although Hatton is a dangerous fighter. I don't care too much for Mayweather's arrogance, but I think that he would outclass Hatton and stop him on cuts by the 10th round.

You all know what i think of PBF already, there is no point me answering because you will all disagree, i would love the match to eventually be made at Light-Welter but it is never gonna happen, i would probably agree with you that it would be a one sided fight at Welter with PBF winning but Ricky is a damn lot stronger in his own weight division.
To Santana i would say that Ricky has a massive problem with Southpaws not guys with quick hands he fought a guy called Eamonn Mcgee who was a lefty and he gave him terrible problems too.
I will add more later im going out for a drink now.
Right im back and ready to let rip, the first thing that comes to mind is Hagler vs Leonard who did you want to win the coward or the caged animal that is the way i would approach this one, i am not into the American stand offish way of fighting i am more of a believer in the Mexican style of give every thing you have got and if you come up short so be it and thats the way i would think Ricky would approach this one if pbf can put him away so be it, i would say one thing to you lot though English pride is a completely different thing to American pride our boy isnt going in there thinking of how much money he can earn he is in there to win titles and earn legendary status unlike that bigmouth who handpicks his fights against people who he knows he can beat. Im sorry if i have offended my fellow boxing fans in the forum but this is how i feel.
I know you like that response Santana D especially as the question was asked just for me. (and probably disagree with it as i presume Brent does as well but thats what this place is for, for us to express our opinions, even though mine usually disagree with everybody elses.)
And as for the way a loss would affect each of their careers it would be catastrophe for ppv that is why we will never see them fight.

I like Hatton, but this isn't even a match. Mayweather will knock him out quickly.
