Hi

Awww. She is probably just sore and upset by it all.

If she is drinking water, and the wound areas look ok,..not oozing anything.. and you see nothig else different ,, then Id give her a few days to recover..
Keep her warm and quiet.. with water and food.

SHe can go without eating but make sure she is drinking..

If she is not or you see any other odd physical signs call your vET ASAP.

I really think you'd feel better anyway .. now if you called your VET.. then you can hear from them she is ok or not..

You know your dog... trtust your gut... does no harm to give the VET a call.

Good Luck

We got our dog spayed and she acted the same way. Dogs will hide, it's normal. She might be in pain so she just wants to be left alone. We got her a play pen(the actual one that she was born in.) We put her in there and it comforted her a lot. Maybe give your dog a toy or blanket that she likes. We also hand fed her. And, held the water bowl for her to drink out of. Anything to make your dog feel confortable.

She will be fine. Don't be alarmed if she doesn't eat for a couple days. If she won't eat on her third day I would call your vet.

I think she will be fine. She's just lethargic and her tummy is upset from the anesthetic (sp?).

My dog Coffee vomited the first time she ate and was VERY lethargic the first day and a half. The vet told me what I just told YOU!

Good luck, I'm sure she will be fine!

:)

She sounds okay, maybe just a little shook up from the surgery. Some dogs get very nervous after such..But, I'm sure you know your dog better than anyone does. So, if you feel like she isn't acting herself, call the vet who performed the surgery and desribe how she's acting and see what they say.

you say she meaning that her spay is the comparable as an entire hysterectomy in a woman. it is significant surgical technique even nevertheless canines recuperate very immediately while in comparison with people (it shows how hard they're) yet fever is a robust indicator of an infection. -worth an emergency holiday to the vet for optimistic.

What you are experiencing is normal. It can take 2 -3 days for a dog to get back to normal after surgery. Is she on pain meds? If not I would contact the vet and get them to put some up for her.

Your dog is just doesn't feel very well. This is normal, she may be like this for a couple of days, but if it lasts longer than about a week, I would call your vet,

If they did the operation right (took out the uterus and ovaries...and not just ovaries or tubes.) then this is normal. Give her time. Actually some vets keep females for a few days because of this.

She'll be fine, it's takes some mending. I have 2 dogs that had the same procedure and they are doing very well. you made a good decison to many unwanted pups out there... good luck from a animal lover..

She's sore. Like ppl she might still have some pain.
Offer her food/water-she'll eat when ready. But, if not eaten by Sunday, call ur vet.
Just member she might not poop til she's eaten. As you had to fast her for operation.
