Have you tried running a Google search on Chihuahuas? You may have to sift through a bunch of stuff, but the information you want is out there.

I'd try a book of dogs either Internet or the library. They always refer to them as Mexican Chihuahuas. The longest I've had one was 17 yrs, until someone stole her from my fenced front yard.They are are usually a one person dog. very loving and easy to train.I have a severe hearing problem, and train them to bark when someone is at the door ,or the phone rings. they adapt very well if you feed and water them well. hold them and they will return all the affection you give them. I think they are the sweetest breed. BUT, they can be as bad as a doberman if treated roughly.
