Pontius Pilate's court records do exist, as does other contemporary documentation of the period. There is no record of any of the Biblical events surrounding the death of Jesus, in addition to which, the Bible reports that a custom existed allowing the crowd to set one condemned free and the crowd didn't choose Jesus. In point of fact, contemporary records confirm there was no such custom. It also states that one of the people crucified with him was a thief, thieves, under Roman law weren't crucified, they were imprisoned or enslaved, only insurrection was punishable by crucifixion. It also states that Jesus' body was taken down after his death, under Roman law the body of a crucified criminal was left to rot, guards were posted at all times to ensure that and keep relatives from trying to steal the bodies for burial. The likeliest explanation for the lack is that the events never happened. The Romans and the Jews were the most meticulous record keepers of that era, yet, somehow, the entire life, ministry, and death of Jesus escaped their notice.

Although the Roman records are not available, there is reference to Jesus execution by the Jewish, non-Christian historian named Josephus. Apparently there is evidence enough of Jesus' existence and execution to convince most religious & non-religious scholars. There is a small faction, however, that believes the Jesus cult was a creation of the Romans.

Yeah, the Romans kept accurate records of some 30,000 or so people. Unfortuntately, it's all in a database which was run under Windows 0.IXV, which no one can run. So, we can't read it.

The Romans were prolific record keepers but unfortunately scrolls made of parchment or animal hide seldom survive the passage of time.

There is a record of His death. It is called the Holy Bible. Go anywhere in the world and ask about Christ. Weather some believes in Him or not, everyone has HEARD of CHRIST. His NAME is KNOWN the world over.

If you don't know whether or not there are even records, how do you know whether or not Jesus is on them?
