your dog or cat just really didn't like them? I've always believed that animals "sense" if a person is good or bad... and my dog has to like you, if I"M GONNA LIKE YOU, and if you're gonna be with me....

So what if your pet.... just WON'T give in and accept the person you are seeing.... would you put the dog out and attempt to further the relationship, or consider your dog's actions and find someone else?

I would like to know - does the pet normally act differently to other people? Is this the first person you have formed a relationship with as it could be jealous behaviour?

My dogs like the people I like... ie friends visit - or relatives and they see I greet them nicely and they then greet them nicely - or like crazy mad dogs all excited and stuff - BUT...

If a stranger knocks on the door they bark and shout out - "OI WHO ARE YOU? WE DON'T LIKE YOU?" well - in dog barks type of thing....

until they see my reaction.

So to me - for an animal to react this way to a person you clearly want to be with it is either because it is not socialised properly and is jealous - or that person is very strange and has done something to upset them?

Dump him - he is the devil incarnate?!

Animals aren't as dumb as we think they are! If my pet had a problem with a guy I was seeing I would try and get it resolved, maybe try some counselling (yes I'm joking)! It is possible they just feel threatened by the partner and like ppl, fear losing you. Sounds daft don't it, but any thing's possible, just remember a pet is for life, but they shouldn't make yours difficult. That said, when/if a relationship "goes to the dogs" s'cuse the pun, your 4 legged friend will still be there loving you unconditionally. That is never worth giving up.

My dog hated my ex. She had good taste :)

No seriously... I think your own intuition should tell you if your pet is right or not.

If you decide to keep the relationship, then I think that putting the dog out would just make things worse though. You know.. the dog would associate being shut out, with your partner. If you decide to continue the relationship (based on your own feelings and not the pets), then think of team building things for your pets and your partner... they would all have to get along.... putting the dog out will make things much worse... (in my humble opinion)...

Tis true about my dog hating my ex though. She must be psychic :)

Interesting!
What seperate humans with animals? We have IQ and animals have instinct! Understand animal behaviour is what you have to do. If your dog or cat doesnt like your lover, you have to alter your pets behaviour. Some animals are dominant some are vice versa. It is not about your lover, it is about your pet! Animals react based on instinct because they cant think like us. However, animals instinct could be redirect and re -programme. They dont have long -term memories like us. Their senses are limited than humans. Ask your lover to participate i.e take your dog for a short walk, play and give a lot treats and feed your dog during meal time. Bonding is important!
Dont let your 'apha male/female' dog controls you, you are the owner and you have to control your dog. Not otherwise!
About the raping insident above, it was a mere coincidence that she found herself a beastly bf.
Goodluck!

If I call and would't get foodstuff archives - I won't advise the foodstuff. 6) Do they feed the burden loss software to animals interior the companies facility. Their nutritionist will possibly no longer have seen a team of canines or cats that ate that weight loss software for any lenght of time. 7) Does the business enterprise do foodstuff releated examine (i understand then are up on the subject concerns and contributint to the technology).

I saw a program where a woman's dog didn't like her fiancee because it was jealous. They got married anyway. Guess the guy was willing to give it a go. I think it would work. The dog will know its place in time.
If there is a reason to mistrust the guy however: I would listen to your dog's advice. Never let the dog run your life though. Listen to how you feel.

2 friends of mine have been together for years and bought a dog between them, when they want a bit of bedroom action they have to put the dog outside in the car because he would "throw" himself and the bedroom door to get in, even if they try a kiss the dog pushes his nose between them.

Maybe your dog is just jealous of the attention you are giving to this person you are seeing...or is it really you who has a problem with who you are seeing.

Your pet is most likely on target with this person. Have you had thoughts that this person isn't as genuine as they are acting? Regardless I wouldn't put my pet out in favor of a new relationship.

I have a dog myself and I would DEFINITELY listen to what they're telling you. If your dog is normally friendly then they know there is something wrong. I know I would trust my dog. Not only that, I saw on the Animal Miracles tv show where a dog did that to someone date but she ignored him and he ended up trying to rape her. I'm not saying that will happen, but I definitely think they know good people from bad people.
