1error occured. Action failed for file avgupsvc.exe:Starting Service.
This Service did not respond to the Start or Control request in a timely fashion (1053).and one thing I have a windows xp
How to clear this Please guide me

umm, r u trying to update ur definition files? umm try uninstalling it, search for any folder related to AVG and Grisoft, get a registry cleaner, any will do the trick i guess, and let it search for the invalid keys u got, in this case, its probably gonna find some keys from AVG, delete them, and reinstall the antivirus, and if u were trying to install definition files manually, DONT DO IT, just let the autoupdate do its work, its better..... hope it helped

You shouldn't have had any troubles installing avg. But I would restart your computer in safe mode (hit f8 on boot repeatedly until boot menu appears) and uninstall avg. restart your computer and download another copy of the installation file.
