Quick Ideas for Family Halloween Fun

Explore the inside of a gourd or pumpkin.
Allow your kids touch, taste and smell the
wonder of the season.

Have a pumpkin seed spitting contest!

"Bob" for apples...it's been a while hasn't it!

Fill a wagon with hay and take your little one on
a "hay ride" around the neighborhood.

Pick a theme for your family costumes - mother - daughter,
brother-sister or the entire family can dress up to go to a
party, deliver candy or trick or treat!


HALLOWEEN GAMES
Add these games to your Halloween party, family celebration,
scout meeting or classroom party.

Pin the Stem on the Pumpkin
Using a cut out poster board
pumpkin and green construction paper.

Ring the Pumpkin
Line up three large pumpkins with stems, to form a ring toss.
Use embroidery hoops or make hoops with rope and duct tape.
Mark a throwing line on the floor and take turns trying to ring a
pumpkin stem. It doesn't matter if they get it or not, you can reward
them with small prizes or stickers. Smaller children can attempt to ring
an entire large pumpkin with a hula hoop.

Halloween Treasure Hunt
Hide a plastic pumpkin filled with goodies and prizes.
Use hidden mini pumpkins with clues pinned to them.
Each clue will lead to the larger prize!

Catch the Doughnut
Hang mini-doughnuts from the ceiling with string.
The object of the game is to be the first to eat the doughnut with out using your hands! Do not use powdered or cinnamon doughnuts. Plain is the safest!

Straw Relay
(For older kids)
Divide into teams as you would in nay relay race. Each child get a straw (cut in half) and a M&M. They must suck the straw to keep the M&M in place, walk carefully to a bowl and drop it in.
The first to finish all players wins--No Hands and
if you drop it you must start again.

Touchy Feely Box
YUCK!
Cut a hole in a box large enough to reach in with your hand.
The "Box Master" says that a "mad scientist left his experiment
behind----one at a time place bowls of cold noodles, olives, slime...etc. for the player to feel -No looking!
For the strong stomach ...you can elaborate as they play.

pass trick and treaating illuminate a firework, then have a bonfire at night time annd pull an all nighter :) annd you will have to pass because the jersheyy shore team ( despite the fact that its all women a few of you'll be able to get dressed up because the men )

Make scary paper plate faces w/ different pieces of yarn, paper etc.
Tell ghost stories

-musical pumpkins
-the game where you pass around food like peeled grapes while blind folded and tell them they're eyeballs
-a costume vote. (for things like scariest costume, cutest costume)
and if you want alll the kids to feel included you could have catagory for each kid and tell them they have to put a different name in each ballot box
-you could have them decorate cupcakes with orange and black licorice and stuff like that.
-pin the fangs on the vampire???
-pumpkin carving???
