If not why not? If you are not sure then what's the point? Also if you are not sure you are going to heaven, is God really merciful?

Are you sure you are going? Or are you hoping that you have ben good enough? Because if you are hoping then it doesn't sound like Allah is really merciful, just selective.

As long as I am good and keep praying and the other 4 pillars of Islam and abide by the Qur'an then I will go to Heaven.

This isn't exclusive to Muslims. Some people do think that they are going to heaven as they feel they follow the 'correct' religion. I don't think this is true, as you can come across a person who believes all the things that they think they should be believing and at the same time they can be the nastiest and most evil person imaginable. Our actions, and more importantly intentions are very much taken in to account by God when deciding if a person should be admitted in to heaven. At the same time a person may not believe in God but they may be one of the nicest people imaginable who wouldn't even hurt a fly, like a mother Teresa who doesn't believe in God.

I think it is wrong to speculate whether or not one is going to heaven or hell, there is no way of being able to foresee what could happen. All you need to know is that God is just and very merciful, but most importantly fair.

I think hope makes people do better in performing a roles that a human should be as in allowing us to do more charity, etc.

Maybe you need to stop asking muslims if they going to heaven (as many will just say only Allah is the judge) and wonder whether you actually asking the right questions.

Muslims do choose heaven or hell in a matter of speaking because each task they do will dictate whether they will go to heaven or hell, may it be drinking, giving to charity, repentance, etc. Only Allah is the judge at the end of the day and Muslims have chosen their own fate by their actions.

It's like asking whether a murderer should go to prison or not, the Almighty is the all-knowing so the end destination be be just.

Whoever gets to heaven, only does so through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, regardless of their religion.

Anyone who wants to be sure of getting there, should repent of sin and accept the sacrifice of Jesus, given as a free gift to all.

Only through the sacrifice of Jesus are we forgiven our sins, you can take part in all the rituals you like, they are worthless as far as getting you to Heaven is concerned. Only the salvation won by Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, can get you there.

The fact that Jesus offered Himself up for our salvation proves that God is loving and merciful.

YES YES YES. Of course, if Islamic People follow the Koran and the teachings of all the Prophets Mohamed etc ,then of course they will enter Paradise. and of course Allah is selective that is the whole point of following the Teachings, and before you ask ,No I don't believe that Terrorists stand a chance of going to paradise and I believe they will have a very warm time when they have to answer to Allah for their sins.

Although I am a scientific person, i am also religious, so i want to look at this religious question scientifically, seeing as if the science fits, then there is a good chance that something is true.

In order for God and heaven to exist he must live in more than the 4 dimensions we live in. otherwise, if he was confined to the 4 dmiensions we live (Time being the 4th dimension), he would not be able to see or hear our prayers or do anything which only God can do. Scientists agree that at the creation of the earth there was 10 dimensions so he must be able to exist in all of these. Now if we look at the quran, it says that Allah created the earth and then turned to create the heavens. This is scientifically wrong since stars have to be formed before planets are formed, so he could not create earth before the stars and heavens. Also it describes God as living on Earth and heaven. Again, this can not be true since the earth only exists in the 4 dimensions we have so it will not be able to contain God.

If we now look at Genesis in the old testament, it makes the statement "God created the world but the world can not contain him". this is scientifically accurate if we are to accept that God exists. It implies that God exists in more than just our 4 dimensions hence why the earth can not "contain" him. Furthermore it continues to say that God created time, but he was before time. This is very important. it implies that God exists in atleast 2 dimensions of time. if he existed only in one dimension of time, our dimension of time, he must have a beginning and an end. in other words he wouldnt be able to create the world, since he would need to be created himself. Once again Genesis is scientifically accurate.

So if we follow the scientific reasoning behind both the quran and the bible it follows that Allah can not exist since he is only 3 dimensional and the science behind the creation of the universe is wrong. Genesis in the bible is much more scientifically accurate and therefore more likely to be correct. So the answer to the main question is that however hard muslims pray they can not enter heaven as thye are believing in the wrong God.

All this talk of 'going to heaven' and being 'good enough' to enter some crystal city in the sky is as vague and abstract as the dogmatic atheist saying 'there is no God'.

Who can be precise about God's non-existence or about the place beyond the grave except those who have been to a place where God doesn't exist or who have died long enough to know where heaven is and have come back to tell us all about it?

I've not met anyone yet in history who can be precise about the things you so dogmatically deny or accept. There's only one man in history who claimed to be from heaven - The man Jesus Christ said and did things that no other can match neither among those who came before Him nor those who have come since. Then He proved who He was by rising again from the dead.

He proves Himself to those who believe in Him but to those who reject Him He cannot prove Himself to be real. It is impossible for God to gatecrash the life of someone who rejects the One who came to make God as visible as possible. He came as Christ to invite us to a banquet* and we have the freedom to accept or reject the invitation. Don't blame God then for missing out on the banquet when He has gone to great trouble to make Himself known as the Bridegroom at the Banquet.

An answer to the question about heaven is on the lips of those who can worship God with all their hearts, all their strength and all their mind. For they are already in heaven.
