Hi,

The manual is available here:

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co..._mono_0221.pdf

See bottom of page 42 for instructions on how to unlock the panel but do it you're going to need the remote control, I fear!

The front panel of the COMBI VISION can be locked to prevent it
from being used by young children for example.
1 To lock the front panel, display the television menu by pressing MENU
( ).
2 Select the SETUP option by pressing the P ▲ or ▼ buttons the required
number of times.
3 Press the + button.
4 Select the PANEL LOCK option by pressing the P ▲ or ▼ buttons the
required number of times.
5 Select ON by pressing the + button.
Result: The buttons on the front panel no longer have any effect.
6 To unlock the front panel, set the PANEL LOCK option to OFF.

See if you can get a universal remote control from a place like;
http://www.remotehouse.co.uk/

and if it supports your TV, once it's set to the correct IR frequencies, you should be able to use it to unlock it, and then keep it as a spare etc.

I did wonder if the setting is stored via a backup battery, so you could try unplugging the TV and leaving it off for a couple of days to see if that runs down the battery and "loses" the locked setting. (My own VCR has a backup battery that lasts for about 45 minutes)

HTH

Regards

say...G...you're not gonna like this...
Unless you replace the remote and are able to unlock the panel...you going to have to have an internal commend card replaced...and their kinda pricey...might just get a new t.v.
