Hi. I'm a pretty shy Christian girl and there's this Christian (I think and hope) guy at my school who I like but have never actually talked to. I want to know: if a girl just randomly walked up to you (and you didn't even know her name), what would you want her to start talking about right off the bat? another thing is that he's shy, so I don't know how to talk or flirt or whatever w/ him and not scare him away. btw we're both in high school, it sure isn't looking for a marriage partner, maybe just someone to go to prom with.

How old are you? Are you looking for a marriage partner? If you just want someone to have a good time with I would think asking about his interests would be a good place to start. Maybe you both like the same kind of activities.... Jim

Introduce yourself to him.Give him your number and ask him to call,get his number in return.
Give him 2 days to call and if does not,then call him.
If the conversation comes out as ashes instead of fire,then look around.
Find another guy and give him your number:just make sure that he is a Christian.
You may end up with nothing or you may end up with two good guys calling you.
It is up to you to start it if you want it started.

do you have any classes together. perhaps you could ask him for help in a question or problem. find out if he likes sports and read enough to ask an intelligent question about it. is he interesting in dancing perhaps a turn around dance where the girl asks a guy. try a new recipe for cookies and ask him what he thinks.

An easy way to find out about him is to ask what church he was brought up in. Try sitting near him at lunch and work it in the conversation.
