If a person steals, murders, cheats how do they deal with their sin? What judgement does Allah require of you for your sin? Surely you must still be punished?

When Muslims sin, they do as the Democrats do--Blame George W. Bush.
Even if they did not mean do it before they did it.

Thank you for your important question. In this regard, Islam is different from Christianity (I would say better). If you the sin was towards anyone but God (Allah) like stealing or cheating, first you should sincerely repent to Allah and ask him forgiveness and then try to CORRECT your sin by all possible means (like returning what you have stolen or fixing what you have cheated etc.) then try to do as much goodness as you can to show your sincerity in repentance (give charity, help weak people etc.) only then Allah would forgive you. While Christianity, only confessing in the church would relieve you from your sins which is unfair I believe to the community. There are major sins that require you a lot of effort so that Allah may forgive you,, and there are small sins that can be forgiven by doing some good deeds only. On the other hand, sins against Allah and not involving people like missing prayers or failing to pay obligatory charity, Allah would forgive it if you pledge not doing it again and started doing it regularly from now on. Its selective to whom they sin against, if its a non believer and falls into a favourable category of sin they will be rewarded,Islamic law has 5 categories: obligatory, recommended, disapproved, forbidden and permissible. With different punishments and rewards in the afterlife.
One that makes me smile is adultery. the quranic punishment is 100 lashes, however 4 separate male witnesses must testify against you. There are not many people found guilty for adultery

If a Muslim commits a sin, he seeks God's forgiveness. Sometimes he gets punished here in this world, sometimes he can get away with many sins etc and will be punished hereafter coz ways of the God are beyond us.

not a muslim but ill have a go. i think these guys commit no sin, ever!! The women cant even show their faces, they cant laugh at themselves, blasfamy is an executable offence and drinking and dances is not allowed in general. that covers most of the "seven sins" we usually refer to. But got to rate em... they managed to invent a religion which basically a jealous, over bearing, male pig would invent. "i can have as many wifes as i like but you all got to cover your whole face ( even eyes) just incase there are perves out there!!!" oh, yeah if you question or make fun of my religion you die! and if you convert an outsider (especailly a woman) you just been promoted to heaven- all sins cancelled. oh yeah we gotta snip your bits!! oh yeah and another thing five time a day, every day, whether ou like it or not mate. did i mention you kids have gotta attend from practiaclly thrre years old? 1- stop doing the sin
2-regret doing it
3-decide not to do it again
4-if you harmed someone (steel for example) you have to fix it if possiple

I have a boyfriend and that is against the Muslim culture but i just deal with it. i still read the q'uran, pray and fast and ask for forgiveness from Allah.
