You see, the view point of your answer suggests that you believe that for me to have any ability to think at all it requires that I be given it by God. You probably think that everything that exists is proof that someone created it, and hence proof of God. The problem with the logic is this: If everything that is needs a creator, how did God come about? Does God have a God? People have no problem with the idea that someone capable of creating all of everything could have come from no where, but the Earth has to have had a creator because its just too complex not to.

The way I see it is simple: I don't know. There it is. I don't know how we got here. I don't know why we're here or why things are the way they are and what happens to us after we die. I don't know. The ancient Greeks didn't know what carried the sun across the sky, so they concluded that it was carried on the back of a huge flying turtle that moved at a very slow pace, across the sky. If you were around then, and you disagreed, someone would have no doubt said to you, "No? Well then how does the Sun get across the sky?" And you wouldn't have known. But that wouldn't have proven that it was a giant turtle would it?

I am a believer in God but i am also a thinking individual and a reasoning one as well. God gave us the ability to choose and to make choices so that the devil and the false prophets wouldn't ensnare us. The thing about the devil is that he will use the word of God out of context to break your belief and cause you to wonder causing many to wonder "If this isn't right then what about everything else?" Knowledge is power but the intellect to know when that knowledge is being used against you is a God given ability. Peace.

We still have a long way to go to learn how the human brain evolved.

I will not presume to have an answer to your question.

Doesn't it make you feel even a little silly to ask things like that?
Sounds like "I don't understand it, so it must have been god"
Is that really how you think?
