I've been dating someone for 14 months and we have never taken a vacation together. He always asks friend(s) to go with him but never me. So i decided I would take vacations with my friends without inviting him. We argued and he said if all you want is to go off together then I should just plan it and he would go...i want him to want to go off with me...is that so much to ask?

Is he taking you for granted in other parts of your relationship?
Is he attentive? Treat you like a princess? or is the vacation thing just another in a string of disrespectful snubs.

My guy and I were dating 6 weeks before he asked "where are WE going on MY next vacation?" I was taken aback, thought it was too early, etc. But, although I knew that trip could have made or break our relationship, I went along. After five days, surprisingly we came back intact. Must've been a good thing b/c now he always involves me in his trips and talks about where we'll be going next!!! You know your relationship is for real if you stop thinking in terms of "me" and "I" and start thinking in terms of "we" and "us"!!! I think you should go for it...you've got nothing to lose and so much to gain! Good luck!
