I worked at a daycare for two years in a 6-12 month old class, and I had parents bring hydrocortizone and anti itch cream in for us to use on the babies--usually for stuff like rash and dry skin around the mouth, nose, etc. But I'm pretty sure they called the doctor's office and asked a nurse first, just to make sure, so that's what I would do. If not, they make stuff thats milder than straight hydrocortizone cream, like Aquaphor, or Gold Bond Baby cream that you can use on any age child, also.

With that mean face, are you doing this to "HURT" your baby? Geez, I sure hope not... If your baby has chafing on his/her face, like my kids did when they were babies...Hydrocortizone, is a bit much for a baby..not to mention all the chemicals your putting on your babies face.. I always used vaseline! Vaseline works wonders for those dry rashes, babies have a tendecy to get!! And it'll soften, his/her face, in the Process!! I used to use it on their cuts too, when they started to scabbing, I'd put vaseline on their scabs to moisten them, so they wouldn't get cracked open as easily. and it healed their scabs much faster, with less scarring!! Good-Luck, to you! And you might want to pay the Avatar site a visit, you look really scary & mad !! Unless thats your "Point"! with a new baby, you should have a great big smile on your Avatar!! Smile!

Call a dermatologist. You should probably go in for a consultation or something.
