For a Urinary Tract Infection you are usually prescribed an antibiotic medication from a Doctor,However if it's a mild infection you could try drinking some cranberry juice as it works wonders in cleaning the urinary tract.

there are many treatments for a UTI however if you are going for a home remedy you can try cranberry juice or pills this changes the ph balance of your urine and has some healing qualities, you can buy a med over the counter called pyridium which will stop the burning and pain upon urination. If your uti is raging and out of control you need to see your doctor for antibiotic therapy. Also no tight jeans or underwear, no colored toilet paper and wipe front to back will all help from getting another one.

Cranberry juice has been suggested it makes the inside of the bladder slippery and the bacteria find it hard to stick to it. But you need antibiotics, normally two are given together - amoxacillin and flucloxacillin. Take the whole course. If it's bad - you may get an antibiotic injection to start you off.

Antibiotics are the only thing that will shift it and don't leave it too long as it could get worse and travel to your kidneys..now that is bad. Use a hot water bottle on your tummy to ease the symptoms and drink loads, cranberry juice is excellent.

Pomegranate (its the new cranberry juice) will help but if the infection will not subside YOU MUST see a Doctor/physician you could damage your kidneys if left un-treated.

Get Boots own brand of tablets for this - they're big pineapple flavoured fizzy tablets and you disolve them in water and take for three days. Drink as much Cranberry juice as you can too, as this saves bacteria sticking to your insides.

cranberry juice, doctor will give you antibiotics, although from my experience they dont always work very well. you can get sachets of stuff from the chemist, you just add to water, dont cost very much, some of them can be quite good, depending on the severity of the problem
