I'm an American. So I understand that many Americans have this problem, so can't get out of the rut. I am sure other cutlures, nations, etc. probably have the same problem. But I haven't experienced their mindset.

Right. Bordom thoughts on there is nothing to do. Life is boring. I'm stuck here with nothing to do. Bordom thoughts are negative thoughts. Not productive like. This is the day God has made, I'm going to enjoy this day. What can I do. I can do this or that.

because there is a lot of negative things happening in the world. definitely hard to keep a positive attitude when those around are in the " doom and gloom " of despair attitude.
