Italy is the most beautiful country in the world, with the most friendliest people i have ever met! I have only been there twice, but i fell in love with the Country, it's people and it's way of life. I live in the U.K. and if i ever could afford it, i would love to move there.

I am a Brit ... but originally from Sri Lanka. So I am brown complexioned.

I first visited Rome way back in 1967.

But in the mid-70s I started to go back, every year, for a week for skiing.

The people are great. The food is even better and the wine is the best in the world.

Yes, they used to call me "negro ..." ... which I think meant black.

But it was never in a mean way.

At least in those days, i.e. 1970s, I was somewhat of a novelty up North at the ski resorts.

Italian men would buy me drinks and Italian girls would insist on dancing with me ... much to the chagrin of my wife.

But on the whole great country, wonderfully warm people and and unparalleled history.

Enjoy.

All the best.

I'm American and when I was a child my family lived in Italy for a few years (military). The Italian people were wonderful and I have many fond memories of them, the food, and gelato. I hope to go back and visit one day.

Hi, I love Italy. I have only been a couple of times and I would dearly love to come again - to so many places, but unfortunately finance prevents it at the moment. I have found the Italians to be very friendly and I love your food and your culture and architecture. Would like to know where you live?

Mi piace italia e mi piacciono gli italiani!!

I have visited many towns in Italy and have liked them all. I like the Italian personality and Italian cooking.

In general the British like Italy very much and admire its great writers such as Dante, Boccaccio, Italo Calvini, Umberto Ecco ecc, its painters, and sculptors and its great scientists such as Leonardo, Volta and Guglielmo Marconi.

Many English people, including the prime ministerTony Blair, like Toscana and Umbria in particular.
