My guy and I work in the same office. He just got a promotion and although it's an excellent move for him, I'm not sure what it means for our relationship. It entails many long, late nights and working weekends but I'm really happy for him and have assured him that he has my support. It's a very powerful position and chances are there'll be a lot of women chasing after him so that will be one of the issues...though we haven't really talked about any just yet?

The thing is, we've kept our relationship (5 months) hidden from everyone and I was wondering (for ethical reasons), if we should announce our relationship to the people who matter? i.e. my boss and his boss & the HR manager. Although there's no written rule about inter-office dating, I think we we should let them know out of respect for their authority. Anyone agree w/ me on this one?

As long as he is not your direct boss and has no influence in payroll related or promotional issues that have to deal with you, you should inform the superiors of the relation so that they are aware of it and a sexual harrasment suite can be avoided. Keep your distance in the office. the occasional lunch date is ok but don't over do it, and remember to keep personal problems out of the office.

artwork place relationships would be annoying, yet listed under are some data. First, business enterprise coverage is business enterprise coverage, in spite of the reason. Many agencies have comparable rules, so it has generic precedent. So your mom ought to fire her. it would reason very lots of complication to alter the coverage, and there might subjects if she made an exception purely for you. having mentioned that, the question of sexual harassment is totally diverse. To have a criminal reason for action, considered one of you (you or your lady buddy) needs to have the capacity to potential over the different. If this isn't the case, (and because you're saying you at the instant are not in a administration place, it of course isn't), then your lady buddy has to report a grievance against you with the business enterprise administration using fact the 1st step to a harassment experience. the only snag is that in case you break up, and you attempt to get her decrease back, she ought to report a grievance and that ought to set a regulation experience in action. in case you break up, do not shop calling or attempting to win her decrease back. that is a reason for action. stable success

Aaaah! I feel for you. It's not going to be easy.

But before informing anyone, ask yourself why do you want to do that? Is your personal life separated from your work life? If the answer is yes, then I don't see why you must tell your boss.

& about the girls flirting with your guy, please do talk to him about that. If he is a good man and respects your feelings, he'd understand.

Good luck:)
