From a follower of science:
Science doesn't even PRETEND to have all the answers. Some leading scientists even hypothesize that there are issues which science may never solve. At least one group of thinkers argues that science may be at a kind of "end" when it comes to "new theories" (see John Horgan's work).

But lest the dogmatists in this forum be tempted to read this incorrectly, ALL the sources I used for this answer are non-religious. Not a single one would propose filling the gap in knowledge with nonsense or magical explanations. It's a straightforward practical & theoretical question. Can the human mind solve all the puzzles that are out there? Given our great progress in certain areas, hubris can be tempting - but the "yes" answer to this is speculative at best.

An example of this is what's called the "hard question" - the relation between mind (self-consciouness, or consciousness in general) and the physical brain. All agree there's a physical base, but the actual definition and identification of the "mind" is till elusive. (And no, there is no argument in favor of "soul" or other such gratuitous constructs.)

Because you have been tricked into thinking the question 'what is the meaning of the world' is a meaningfull question.

Even though the question "What is the meaning of the world" is syntactically correct it is semantically meaningless.

That is to say that it has no more meaning than the sentence, 'Why does the number seven get hungry'. The number seven can not get hungry since hunger is an attribute that can only be ascribed to living things that have the ability to comprehend hunger.

Science tells us there is no meaning in the world. So stop wasting time looking and get on with living by CREATING YOUR OWN MEANINGS!

Science is wonderful and answers many questions, however it does not and can not answer your personal quest for the meaning of YOUR world and your life.

Science has to do a lot, what it has so for found is not enough to throw light on evolution and life on other galaxies and then only people will come to know more to justify certain things in life on earth.

Science never claimed to know all the answers but it is the most logical means of revealing them.
