The best way to soothe a sore throat is to drink some hot tea. Try that if you haven't tried that yet. If you have then get a spray that you spray in your mouth it will numb your throat. You can get it at your local drug store. You do not need a prescription for it. After a few days and you keep using it then you should go to your doctors office.

Health food stores usually care a herbal tea for sore throats (made with slippery elm). Also sucrets help.

Gargle with warm salt water
Suck on Chloroseptic lozenges or use the spray
Drink lemonade made from real lemon juice, honey and water.
Drink cranberry juice

Suck on lozengers, like halls, sucrets and ice pops help soothe. get some cold ezze they are great and cut down the time of sickness, b/c of all the zinc.

One remedy that was passed on by my mother was to take a piece of ginger and kinda smash it a bit then boil it and drink it. It has a spicy taste from the ginger but it works.
