My sister works at the home office and there is a huge myth surrounding immigrants.

Immigrants DO NOT get benefits, houses, cars etc. The conditions of immigration are that they are not allowed access to public funds (benefits etc) until they become a citezen which is usually after 3-5 years, and even then becomming a citezen isn't an automation.

Asylum seekers do get financial help, becuase at the end of the day they have come with nothing, often from war-torn countries, famine etc.

If you go to the home office website, or the national visa application site you will see that immigrant do not get benefits. They work for what they have, and through that work they pay taxes which contribute to National Insurance etc, which entitles them to use such services.

So many stories and misturths are all over the place, mainly to insight anger against foreigners. And then people who feel badly done to jump on the band wagon using these faebles as ammunition.

Do some research and not go by hearsay or attention seeking tabloids.

Like I've always said give the fuckers an inch and they'll take a mile. If they want to stay in this country let them do 2 years national service then i wouldn't mind them. But they just sponge sponge sponge. I even hope we hit a massive recession, when their is no money they'll go to another country and ruin that.

We are verging on world rights and anymore the people who are the naturalized citizens of a country are getting the shaft more and more from the newcomers. Governments feel they are descriminating against these people if they restrict their rights so the newcomers plow in and get a free meal on almost every aspect of life, who pays, the taxpayers of today. Governments don't stand up to newcomers because they feel they will be accused in court, the arena of public opinion and by groups like the UN who stand up for everybody but without any backing from anybody in particular.

Well first of all...they are "immigrants" as you said. Not "illegals" which means that they have been authorized by the gov't to be there. This old myth that immigrants are coming and taking jobs abroad are stupid. If you are white and a citizen of the country you get first preference at almost any job. If an immigrant gets chosen over you it might be because he or she is much more qualified than you. Criticizing a protest is both ironic and absurd. We need more people on the streets so we can get the rights we are loosing to the politicians as a people. We can take a lesson from the immigrants and learn to fight for our own rights!!!

I would just love to hear what the hell these people think they have a right to that they are not getting with jam on top already - how about our rights in our own country, is this why hundreds of men died in the two wars, so that todays government could hand over the priviliges of Great Britain to people who haven't contributed anything and never will.

What can we do ? blame the politicians non of them will stand up and say go home, if you don't like it. Look at that copper the other day, would n't even do his duty at the embassy! Now Jack's in the sh.t, if they come here they should abide by our rules and laws, not just scrounge. When I travel I have to abide by the laws of that country ime in, AND certainly not scrounge, they'd throw me strait out, were just to bloody saft!

recently in the evening Argus a local paper for the south
reported that 80 Somalian families were being housed in Brighton and kept on benefits for a year until they settled into our country
and yet i know people desperate for housing due to the current house prices that first time buyers cant afford and seen people looking for leftovers in fast food outlets as they are so hungry
its crazy

There is a simple solution, if you don't like it here..........
GO HOME!!!
We're sick of immigrants moaning about their "human rights" in OUR country. Get Lost!
See how much "human rights" you have living in Muslim or Third World Dictatorships. We are the most tolerant nation on the Planet, get your facts straight.

I agree- there are people homeless on our streets whom are in need of food and shelter, yet asylum seekers come to Britain and are given housing and benefits!!! Isn't it about time we started dealing with our problems at home before we start forking out to immigrants whom come into this country!!!!

It infuriates me as they come to this country to be rid of dictatorship and the opportunity to live a safe life and they come here and put our lives at risk with their terrorist attacks and extreme views- SEND THEM HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
