...for being a stereotypical teen and having relationship angst. :) I normally don't ask questions like this. Anyways--there is a boy I am interested in (he's a senior, I'm a sophomore). We flirt when we see each other and I am pretty sure he's interested. My questions are: how should I ask him out and what would be an appropriate first date? I'm asking because a) I don't want to sound creepy or anything and b) I'm not really into cliche dates like a Friday night movie. Any suggestions?

I'd guess see if you can ask him out for something that doesn't seem like a date. Whether it be meeting at the library to study or going and getting some coffee or hitting the mall together.
See what happens from there. If he's into you he'll most likely ask you out.

Cliche dates are not always bad it gives a comfortable feel and chance to talk ...however if you want something a bit more interactive there is shooting pool playing mini-golf or other such things as for how to ask him out .. make it informal at first ask him if he wants to go hang out and do such and such .. give him the chance to see it as either a date or just hanging out take the pressure off and give him the opportunity to take the initiative to make more of it

Ask him to go to a park and play frisbee or put-put, or something simple like that.....The weather is beautiful this time of year. Going to a local's band concert is fun also, it will give you a common event to talk about at a later date. Also takes the pressure of of having to talk constantly. GOOD LUCK! Do something simple, and somethin you feel comfortable with, that's the best advice.

Maybe you could say something like..."I usually don't do this, but you seem like a really nice guy, would you like to maybe go out to a movie or something?" Or maybe... check him out first and find out what he likes, and ask questions about those things, even if you already know, still ask, it helps to break the ice.

No real help on a.) You just have to be yourself. As for b.) I took my gf to a demolition derby a couple of weeks ago. Total cost was under $30 (w/ food there) and I never have been on a better date. I think she liked it more than me!

girls shouldn't "CHASE"

if he is truly interested in dating you
he should be the one to ask you out

if he is the shy type, maybe try casually
talking about a movie or a concert you
would like to see ...... if this isn't enough
to give him the courage to initiate a date
with you, then you might suggest him going
along to the movie or concert with a group
of your friends.

Good Luck !

go for a walk in the park, or a bike ride. do something so the 2 of you can actually get to know eachother. in a movie you cant learn more about oneanother, cause you cant talk.
