There is a factor which deals with your height as well. Just make sure that you eat with balance neutritions instead of the amount of food. Plus you can try some walking at least 1 hour, swimming about 30 to 45 minutes every day....etc. There is no such thing as don't gain a pond, unless they are dead already. The weight will come, which is the matter of time. The only one who can tells you that you are underweight, normal, or overweight is your doctor. Plus each girl has to handle her own period, so just make sure that you gain balance and proper neutritions for yourself instead of focus on other girls' and your weights.

You know that is metabalism. SKINNY PEOPLE HAVE A VERY FAST METABALISM. The rest of us have to work on it. I am around skinny girls all the time that eat like pigs, it may catch up with them oneday. Your metabalism slows down with age. I know that the same diet I used 10 years ago does not show tthe same results as it would today. I t takes me longer to lose the weight. I am averaging about a pound a month now. I have 9 pounds to go. Life isn't fair. It sounds like you eat good food, although if you get to a point where the weight is no longer coming off you may want to cut out some of your carbahidrates. Cereal, bread, and granola bars are high in carbs. Your metabolism turns all those carbs into sugar in your body, and every knows how bad sugar is for a diet. Protien would be a good replacement for some of those carbs. BEST OF LUCK from one girl strugglin with her weight to another.

Could be a few things.
1. Metabolism, either from what you are born with or activity. If you rev up your metabolism, your body burns fuel (food) more efficiently, so you burn food faster. If you have not been blessed with a high metabolism from birth, you can rev yours up. Exercise, muscle does burn more calories than fat or eat more times, with smaller portions. Both of these have been proven to up your metabolism.
2. Water, they may drink a ton of water. Drinking the proper amount of water daily is essential to maintaining proper weight. Also, drinking the proper amount of water burns as many calories as a 20 minute work out. You can actually improve your metabolism just by drinking water. Most Americans are on the verge of dehydration and do not drink enough water. Don't count glasses of water, the way to tell if you are getting enough is if your urine is odorless and clear.
3. Movement (exercise) those that move burn more calories.
Weight loss, or maintenance, is not magical, eat less bad things, move your body more often and drink water. If you do these things you will notice you are able to eat, and burn, more calories more efficiently. Good Luck

It's all in your body chemistry and how many calories you burn in a day.
I'm not going to suggest that you start excercising, or exercising more, because that can be very addictive and dangerous. Consult your doctor, and the two of you can come up wih a meal and exercise plan that will be healthy for you. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT decide to start eating less than you are, or start a crazy exercise plan because you want to be thin. I've known too many people that have become anorexic/bulimic/suicidal.
If I'm jumping to conclusions, I'm sorry, but I worry about thm, and I'm worrying about you..

Im one of those girls.
The trick is that you donnt eat too much at once. leave a little space in your stomach. remember stomach is a streachable organ it streaches if you eat even a little more than usual.
At lunch or dinner etc eat but donnt overload yourself. donnt eat so much that you actually feel your tummy leave a little space in your stomach. so later when you are feeling to eat more, dont worry go and eat but keeping in mind to leave a little space in your stomach.
one thing more. dont end your meal with water. eat atleast one bite of anything after you drink. its good for digestion and keeps your belly inside.
2- Keep active. take long walks to something.

There's many factors why they can eat and not gain weight. Do they have high metabolisms, genetics (are their parents on the thin side) and their activity levels, how active are they.

People metabolise food at different rates. Some people need to eat a lot just to keep even. You and I are in the other category.

It's called metabolism. Everyone is different, and you can't change it. It's the natural function of your body. Don't spend too much time being angry, because you can't change it. Just learn to live with your own!

I totally understand you...All my friends are skinny and they eat twice as me!! Is because their metabolism is faster or they do more exercises. Life is so unfair that way... ; (
