I love my bf a lot and for some reasons we might not be able to get married because we have different backgrounds, different cultures and different religions, we cant get married if my parents arent okay with it, its the laws in here.. yea tell me about it.. i'm 18 we are planning to be together in 5 years so when i will be 23 but still cant do it without my parents. My parents are racist.. everytime i think about it i cant help it but cry.. he said he loves me and he wants to marry me, he said we'd try to get through it but if we couldnt then we shouldnt keep going?! how would you feel!?

You are still young, a lot of things can still happen in the next 5 years. Just go with the flow. Obey your parents for as long as you live in their house. They maybe racists and insist knowing what's best for you, but if in the next 5 years you two have proven the relationship is worth fighting for and that you truly love each other, they may just give in too just to secure your future and see you happy with the man you really love.
You'll get through this, don't worry. As long as you never stop believing and supporting each other, you can't go wrong.

live you life...fair enough you parents gave you a life but you shouldnt have to live yours by them..you are 18 you are an adult and you can make you own decisions and your heart has decided so do what your heart says....if you truely love each other nothing will stand in your way...and if your man is true to everything he says and promises you well now is the time for him to prove it and show you and everyone that your his everything and that no matter what religion or belief, we are all human and if your a beautiful person well who cares what god you believe in......we are all human but how humane are you... be great to fellow humans no matter what nationality...im australian and we are a multi cultural socioty and we respect all races to a degree...so tell em to wake up to the 21st century and that we are all human and have a choice to live a life that we choose not one thats decided..i decide how my life is lived and i choose what will make me happy because i know what is best for me not you...because if you knew what was best you wouldnt want me to marry someone i didnt love thats not a life thats depriving you of a life with someone you truely love...dont give in to your parents only you know what is best for you so dont let anyone tell you otherwise...good luck

In my opinion I think you should follow your heart. Yes your parents are racist and they may not approve of this guy because of his background, but if they love you then they will let you live your life as an adult and marry whomever you want. Dont find someone else if you truly love this guy, just for your parents sake. Just follow your heart, it will let you know what to do.

if you really love each other no one can stop the two of you...so try to explain everything in both party, maybe they will accept and give the blessings of getting marry. Go for it..if you tired then look and find love with same culture with you.

where do you live that its the law your parents have to agree to who you marry. you choose who you love and you cant help it. worse comes to worse, if you truly love him and be without him...move, say bye to your parents. either theyll realize how strong your love is, or they can just live the rest of their lives being racist jerks.
