I wouldn't take the joking around about it very seriously as it is a bit of a humorous story.

I would say that it's your wedding and you should be able to do what you want. Just keep in mind that if you've already sent out invitations, you're going to have to resend invitations with the new date and expect people to reneg on their RSVP. Also, watch for any fees you might get charged for a cancellation or rescheduling of all the services (hall rental, photographer, band, etc.).

Getting him more involved in the planning will just require persistence on your part. If he's not serious about it, maybe he's not serious about marrying you! Lots of guys just want to leave it up to the future wife to handle the wedding as it's "her day", although he does have some responsibility... He's supposed to handle the groomsman (tuxedos, transportation, etc.) and I believe that traditionally it's the grooms father's responsibility to handle the booze for the reception. There's probably more, but that's all I can remember at the moment.

Hope that helps!

Claire, I remember answering another of your question. I had hoped that your fiance was over the joking stage now. Doesn't he seem to realize that he's the one that wore the damn zip lock bag? Honey, I have so been wanting someone to get married at Christmas around here so I could do a Christmas theme wedding. Yes, go ahead and move the wedding day up. You didn't want to be heavy with child when you walk the aisle, so I would suggest you that you get the plans a moving along.

Claire, as far as the groom is concerned, he does need to be involved in the decisions. So, if he doesn't care or doesn't feel the need to make any choices---then choose for him. Go at it at a different angle.."Honey, I know you said you didn't care, so I picked out the greatest color for you and your guys to wear...I think you are going to look so hot in orange tuxs.." "Since we are getting married in November, I was thinking that we could use pumpkin orange and browns." "We are going to have you wear small stuff turkeys instead of the boring old roses:" What do you think, it's going to be great"

I think that he will get involved if he thinks you have done gone crazy with all the details. Claire, I wish you well and all the happiness in the world. Your fiance needs to cut the jokes and get busy preparing for the wedding and the baby. As I said before it's funny, but enough is enough. I think you have had enough. Turn the tables on him, you weren't the only one using the plastic bag, he agreed too! So, tell him to knock it off and get to helping your or he is indeed going to wearing pumpkin orange and a stuff turkey....gobble gobble up the aisle..

God bless us all.........................

Are you guys 14 years old or something? You have no business getting married or raising children. A zip lock bag. Grow up!

You guys need to sit down and discuss this seriously and honestly. He needs to respect your feelings. There's nothing with being pregnant at the same time as the wedding I know quite a few ladies that have done it, that's why they make maternity wedding dresses. As for getting him involved, good luck....

I think you should hold off on the wedding until the baby comes. Once you hold your baby in your arms, there is no room for jokesters, and you might decide this man is not the one for you. as for the zip lock bag? isn't that kinda gross? you shoulda asked him to tie an elastic band around his balls. Either way think about yourself and this new baby.

What do you mean if I am pregnant? if you are not sure then wait until you are and if you really are and where planning on getting married anyways then sure move the wedding, my parents did that same thing and moved it to december 27 years ago and nobody found out! She had her white wedding looked skinny and 7.5 months later upss I was premature (right!) :)

Maybe you should try putting a ziploc bag on your head for a while....you're an idiot if you really thought that would work. Do society a favor, and give this baby up for adoption, then get your tubes tied, and have your boyfriend get his nuts cut...neither one of you have any business procreating....
