Its the well known law of 'treat em mean to keep em keen'
And its basically because he has a low self-esteem. He was probably treated not-so-great as a kid by his mother and now unconsciously expects the right woman to treat him badly too.

Its the insurance of knowing that you have someone there. My ex hubby was like that. He would take for granted that I was there and not pay attn to me. Then when we seperate he would do all that he could to get me back and then do the same thing over again

Males like the females that make it harder for them to get. Just keep doing what you do. If you like him pretend you do not like him as much. You will have him wrapped around your finger. It is like video games they are always up for a challenge.

He does want u. trying to play it cool . afraid of getting hurt but panics when he thinks he is going to loose u. enjoy yourself, you are in control if you want to be.
