The specific Hadith in which the number of virgins is specified is Hadith Al-Tirmidhi in the Book of Sunah (volume IV, chapters on The Features of Paradise as described by the Messenger of Allah, chapter 21, About the Smallest Reward for the People of Paradise. The same hadith is also quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Quranic commentary (Tafsir) of Surah Al-Rahman:
"The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: 'The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]."

I agree!! I dunno if you might've linked my question coz it says it was deleted...coz I aksed that!! I mean, how BLIND of them!! It's been going on everywhere about them getting 72 virgins and they say it's a myth or it's the first time they hear of it!! I have respect for people, but who is still gonna believe in a religion that had a prophet marry a 6 year old girl!! That would push me away from it!! And I don't care, they can say what they want against me!! I'll just forgive 'em...like Jesus told me to!!

I have said it before, and I must say it again.
I don't see nearly enough supposedly normal Muslims condemn the actions of the Islamafascists.
Until I see about 98% more of an outcry of their leaders and followers denouncing their terrorists, I only HAVE to assume they agree at least in part with the terrorists.
Get your act together Muslims!
Many of them have not yet developed or advanced as human beings. By that I mean they are still employing an 8th century outlook on things.

Well I just watched the video of your second linked posted, and I must say that I am sickened by the activities that must go on over there. the 72 virgins myth is not mentioned in any translation of Quran that I have read. can you quote me the verse please?
Edit: Any hadith which contradicts Quran and common sense is false. Muslims give hadith the same status as they give the Bible - its based largely on divine inspiration, but has been influenced by human politics. A genuine hadith will confirm and clarify what is written in Quran. If you can not find reference to it in Quran, I must doubt its validity. You stated that it is in the Quran. Please show me the verse. Thanks.
