I already fired off an email to you, but I can replace them easier (plenty of places near or on my duty station that handle awards displays). I'll get a rack together and whatever's not at Clothing and Sales, I'll order. Just let me know what kind of display you want.
It's a shame this happened to a good vet. My condolences.

First you need to find out which ones he had stolen. Then you can either go down the a local Military Surplus store or I have attached one a many location you can got to order more. Generally the Military will replace them for him, since they were stolen and it would take a long time to do that. Its sad people will stoop that low to steal someone Else's medals they earned and the memories behind them, but it does happen. Good Luck

Easy if you have a copy of his DD214 send a copy and a request for reissue to:
National Personnel Records Center
Military Personnel Records
9700 Page Avenue
St. Louis, MO 63132-5100
You could also write your Congressman or Senator and ask for their help.
You could go and buy replacements or miniatures from any of the two dozen or more companies on the web.
If you do not have his DD214 download a SF 180 complete it and follow one the instruction above. (Note: You can do both at the same time).
God bless your dad, you and the Southron People.

militarystuff.com sells 73 different medals and decorations for the usmc. If you are unsure of what you need to buy you could contact the VA, though they might not release information to you because you aren't next of kin. Probably your best bet is to ask one of his buddies or get a grandchild to ask about it.

I would start with contacting your nearest Veterans Administration office. They will tell you what information you will need and assist you in getting replacement medals. Good luck.
