I know that Islam says every life is sacred and anyone can get sent to hell for killing a harmless bug (key word here, harmless). Islam says to kill one person is to kill all humanity and to save one person is like saving all of humanity. Islam says don't oppress. I want to state one thing. There is a huge difference between what Islam says and what its followers do. Women have every right and are obligated to obtain the highest education possible, preferably before but also after marriage. Women have the right to work and do with their earnings as they see fit (I certainly do and am also in college for a degree in Travel). Women have the right to sexual satisfaction from their husbands and if the husband refuses, he is cursed just as a woman is (Can't complain about that one, I had a baby 7 months ago and my hormones are back to where they used to be). Women have the right to own property. Men are solely responsible for all finances, and in this a woman is above a man. She can be a millionaire, and he can't make her give him a penny. Of course, any woman who cares about her husband would help him out, but there are men who are, shall we say, oldfashioned and won't accept it. Islam says everyone has value, not to waste anything, and to do right to others.
