Hey that is because of a corrupted installation. So you will have to completely wipe office 2000, its easy, then reinstall. Click on the below links to get solutions from Microsoft.

Infact DATA1.msi is not a software but its a Microsoft Installation file (for Office 2000 in your case).
Its better to ask some of your friends if they have a Office 2000 Installation CD in case you are using pirated s/w.
And if you are using a genuine copy of Ms Office then better ask Microsoft to provide you with the download link for the same or a fresh CD.

Insert the CD again. If no screen pops up again, go into "My computer". Your CD drive should be D drive (C Drive is the harddrive). Right click the D drive icon and select "Autoplay". That should start the installation. Good luck!
