I need to lose 40 - 50 lbs. I saw that Michael Clark Duncan lost 90 lbs just by not eating red meat anyone know if this is true? I am trying that now. I suck at dieting, I work 12 hours a day at a cubicle so I cant go to the gym but like twice a week. Atkins is responsible for gaining back 20 more than the 30 I lost last time so cant do that!!!

To lose weight, you need to reduce the calorie intake by some amount. It is important to develop a healthy diet , so that body receives sufficient nutrients even as you try to lose weight. Check the calorie count of the food you eat. A diet without sufficient nutrients like vitamins and minerals will only increase your appetite when you are trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan to lose weight , additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles to increase the metabolic rate. Small changes in your diet can help you lose a lot of weight. For long term fat loss, the exercise program should consist of a combination of weight training and aerobic exercises. There is no "qiuck fix" to losing weight. You didn't gain it overnight, you're not going to lose it overnight. Fad diets don't work, unless you are that 1% that sticks to it until the day you die.

You can't work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Change small things in your diet. Do you drink a lot of pop? Instead of having 2 a day, have one and replace the other with some water. Do you normally have fries with your burger? Skip the fries and add a side salad to it. I've lost 25 pounds since the first of the year just making these changes in my eating habits. I work long hours as well and when I get home, I take the puppy for a 30 minute walk. You can also park you car in the back part of the parking lot so you have to walk a little further to get into work.

Good luck. Instead of looking for reasons you are too busy to work out, look for ways you can :o)
