what is the longest you can keep eyedrops on your medication cart?

I have eye drops but don't have a medication cart. When I look at an eye drop bottle I see it has an expiration date like "June 2007."

I would expect to keep those eye drops until that date (unless they are used up and replaced by newer ones).
