Switch everything off at the mains, this resets the whole sky system, leave it switched off for 10 mins or so, then turn back on. Everything should work then. This occasionally happens to me and this is what Sky told be to do, and it works!!

Could be a box or dish problem Try using your box at a friends house if it works you've ruled out a box problem but if the problem persists it could be that the 22Hz tone switch is not working Also try a friends box in your house if the simptoms are the same then the problem is with your cable, dish alignment or lnb Check the dish is secure as it may have moved slightly in windy conditions ensure there are no obstructions ie trees, new buildings etc blocking the sat signal check cable connections are tight both ends You may need to replace the LNB (low noise block) the lump on the end of the dish arm

Is it raining or windy where you are?
I had that a while ago and tried the usual unplugging etc, and finally phoned up SKY. Does it have number 29 at the top of message?
The man from SKY asked me to try several things which didn't work, them said to turn off the power to the LNB in a sub menu, then turn it back on again which did the trick.
You might be best phoning SKY as I can't quite remember how to get to this specific menu, it isn't a main listed one in the services section.

If the problem persists, it means your LNB has failed, the thing on the end of the dish, no need to call Sky and get an engineer out, if the dish is easily accessible, you can do it yourself, the LNB's are about £6-00 to buy, and Sky charge £40-00, big difference, it will take you about 10 mins to do, then back to happy viewing, I am a Senior Sat Coms Engineer

You might need to do a full system restore, give sky a ring, they will talk you through doing it, only takes a couple of moments, and that should hopefully sort it out for you.

If you've got bad weather it can effect the signal.

an easy one for best answer please. i had the same problem. you have to ring sky and they will talk you through re-booting your sat box. as a basic staarter for ten, turn off your sky at the mains plug socket and switch back on after a few seconds. if this does not solve the problem, phone sky. mine has been ok since re-booting. good luck

This could because there's a storm somewhere between you and the satellite. If it continues indefinitely call the Sky helpline.

THAT HAPPENS TO ME sometimes.

Switch off the mains to the box leave it for a bit, then reboot it.

That usually works for me.
