where did you do? What was it like? Would you recommend a place or special feature?

Yes I did! (I'm newly divorced now but that's beside the point.) We got married at the Excalibur. It was beautiful, but if I had it to do over again, I'd do it at the Venetian. (It wasn't built yet when we were there.) We had a great time. I recommend the Gold Key Shops on the Strip to rent tuxes and wedding dresses.

Most places that do weddings out there - which is just about anyplace - will have packages in varying degrees of price. Now this was 1997, and things are probably more expensive now, but our package at the Excalibur included a huge bouquet of beautiful fresh flowers (I had the wildflowers), a bouquet for my girlfriend who stood up with me, boutonnieres for the groom and best man, 12 pictures, a video, and a bottle of horrific cheap champagne, for $400-something dollars. The guy who married us was a blast in this glittery purple robe, reading the Apache Wedding Prayer over us. (We had the civil ceremony.) You could bring your own music - cassette only at that time, although I'm sure that's changed. We had Mozart's Flute and Harp Concerto.

It was so much fun, although my stupid shoes gave me a blister. If you like attention, try walking in a full-train wedding gown with a fully dressed wedding party through a casino - people give you standing ovations. We had perfect strangers come up to us and want to take a picture of a Real Las Vegas wedding party.

And it's a great way to get away from relatives who think they're going to shove what they want on you. I'm a pagan but I still wanted the full-train wedding dress wedding, and this was the perfect solution. The only thing I would change was that I would rent a wedding dress now and not dragged mine on the plane.

A great experience - I highly recommend it!

Not real. The marriage used to be filed in Nevada in which it happened. No state calls for that you simply ALSO dossier within the state of residency. If he has remarried, he's a bigamist and your buddy must cross to the police. She has a wedding certificates that proves she is married, she will be able to get affirmation from Clark County Courthouse or Nevada crucial documents and it is as much as him to turn out that a divorce has happened (considering the fact that she has by no means been notified). Been there, performed that and the pass judgement on now not best made him pay for the entire authorized bills for an annulment (Bigamy), however I bought our financial savings account as good.

Almost, but it really isn't that romantic. If you want a shot gun wedding and then party time, Vegas is your place, but if you want a little class Vegas is a no go.
One of the nicest wedding chapels there is right next to a pawn shop to give you an idea!
