The homemade apple pies my Mom used to make.
They were perfect! Nothing better! :-))
She used vegetable-oil-based crust, not solid shortening. The crust was always delicate, tender, flaky, crisp - perfect!
I can now make only a poor imitation! :-((

Nyama choma, kachumari na ugali. ie Roast goat meat or beef, mixed raw vegetables (tomatoes, dhania, chilli, onions, avocado etc) and ugali (maize flour mixed into pulp in boiling water)

Big juicy hamburgers with whatever toppings you like. I could pretty much eat a burger with any kind of topping.
