Lovebirds make up the genus Agapornis, in the family Psittacidae (parrot). There are a few kinds. Some are sexually dimorphic (males and females are visibly different), and some are monomorphic (males and females look the same). They are born altrical -- this means bald, blind, and dependent upon their parents. They take about 20 days to hatch from an egg, and about a month to fledge (fly).
These are the different kinds of Lovebirds:
Peachface (Agapornis roseicolis) -- These are the ones you've probably seen in a pet shop. They usually have green bodies, peach faces and yellow beaks, but they come in many color mutations, including lutino (yellow with a peach face) and pastel (blue, with a pale white face). They're sexually monomorphic. Here is a picture of each --
This is a normal peachface:

These are Fischers lovebirds (Agapornins Fischeri). They are also monomorphic. They come in a variety of color mutations too. Here's are two pics to give you an idea:

Then there are the Nyasa Lovebirds (Agapornis Lilianae) -- they're very rare, primitive and mysterious. Little is known of them. There are also Swindern's Lovebirds, Abyssinian Lovebirds, Madegascar Lovebirds, Red-Faced Lovebirds, Black Cheeked and Masked Lovebirds. Many people own Masked Lovies. Abyssinian Lovebirds are dimorphic. Lovies are talkative but it's in "chirp", so don't get one if you want to teach it English. They aren't loud birds (compared to my parrots they're practically mute). They pair bond quickly, and they'll lay eggs almost anywhere. Here's a nice pic of all different kinds:

conures are louder and extra high priced. yet in my opinion I even have 2 conures (green cheek) and that they are the quietest ones of the team. they are lovable and in case you p.c. them to do tricks and issues like that i p.c. to recommend the conures besides the undeniable fact that it rather is rather as much as you. sturdy luck and do in basic terms despite your hart tells you... by the way the two species of birds would be held in the event that they are tame whilst little
