People always say "be yourself" when you go to an interview. You can usually tell right off the bat the interviewer's personality.... if they are dead serious, laid-back, funny, or preoccupied with something else. The goal of the interview is to basically make one believe that you are the best candidate for anything: school or otherwise. Play off of their personality. If someone is serious, be very serious, too. If they are laid-back, it may be okay to to be a little relaxed. Use very good grammar... the last thing an interviewer wants to hear is "um...." "like...." and poor grammar. I noticed that you said that "I'm just had my HSEE" the question should have been stated "I've" or "I have." You also said "gonna start call...." That should have been phrased "They are going to start calling us." I know it's just a quick question on Yahoo, but this says a lot about your grammar, and you better brush up on that so that you look like you are serious about your education with that school.

Anyhow, I had an interview also when I was in high school.... I went to a performing arts school, and we had to audition and interview with the teachers there and what-not (kind of like "Fame"). It was a LOOOOOONG time ago, but interviews stay the same: I wore a casual outfit because it was for school: a pair of pressed khakis, a button-up shirt, a pair of dress shoes, minimal jewelry, and my hair in a conservative hairstyle. I did this because you don't know who's going to interview you until you get in there, and you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

When you walk in, immediately extend your hand to shake theirs, grasp their hand firmly and give two up and down pumps (you don't want to shake it anymore than that, it feels sloppy). Smile, look in their eyes and introduce yourself: "Hi. I'm ____________, it's very nice to finally meet you, Mr(s). ____________." Sit up straight, do not fidget with your hands, clothing, nails, or anything else. It may be nice to not bring your cell phone (if you have one). Think about the answers for the asked questions. The last thing an interviewer likes is someone immediately starting to talk and end up going, "well, um.... uh.... you see....." Not going to earn you any points. When the interview is over, extend a handshake again and say, "Thank you so much for taking time to talk to me. I really appreciate it."

I know that this is just a high school interview, but you will impress the heck out of anyone if you stick to these small tips.

Best of luck to you!

P.S. I don't know how to vote the best answer.... You've asked two more questions than I ever have! :)

you have a high school entrance exam? an ideal interview would result in you getting into highschool, just be straight forward, confident, but not cocky, don't second guess yourself, there are no right or wrong answers so be sure in what you say, shake peoples hands look people in the eye (this is very key) by honest, gracious and polite, thank them, talk at length but do not over talk and you should be fine

Be yourself know that they have interviewed thousands of people and they can see right through when your faking it. Smile be pleasant. Shake hands and make eye contact. Don't be afraid if asked a question that stumps you for a sec to say "If you can give me a moment to think about that." Main point just be yourself show them the real you they can expect over the next four years. Also to rate my answer or anybodies answer the best just click the best answer option. Hopefully its me lol good luck.
