In my opinion, morality is a matter of how YOU view it. It is a matter of opinion. Not anyone Else's opinion but your own. You may do something that others think is immoral, but there are others who see what you did as moral. Because someone says something you did is immoral, doesn't make it true. Your morals are your own. It is up to you to decide what is morally correct, not society. Not religion.

I think morality exists at a personnal level, which is, then, modulated - or not - by the cultural element represented by the religion.

I believe a society can be o "moral" one, without any religion.

I believe too, that the religion can teach some moral attitude.

But, as a rule, the religion introduces confusion in the innocent mind.

I agree with you, that the government must be free from religious rules.

Maybe the Mores, but not the Morality. And yes the religions should be separate from the government, but unless we elect a non-religious person it would never completely happen.

Then How?
If God does not exist, then what is right and what is wrong?
if it is a matter of opinion, who's?
If it is decided by society, How?
take both questions all the way back to the beginning of recorded human history and answer.

Because if it is as the Evolutionist darwinist says, according to the laws of natural selection.
there is no right or wrong that the weak die off to make room for the strong, that means , might makes right.
That means Hitler had it right, Stalin had it right, Napoleon had it right.
If you say you cannot legislate morality, I will ask, "Is Murder aginst the law? is Robbery against the law? you will of course say, yes, Well then...It looks like you just legislated morality.

The only difference is who's morality will you legislate.

From what I've seen religion must be part of the government. Here in US, things have gone down hill fast since prayer was taken out of school and abortion was legalized.

Yikes - several thick books could be written and only touch on the answer to your question. I will say this: the Word of God enlightens people wherever it may be freely owned, read, and discussed. Countries in which this is allowed are more free, discriminate less, and provide respect, opportunities, and equality for woman. Think on that for a while. Regarding part 2 of your question, as a Christian, I believe there is sufficient evidence to regard to holy scriptures as inspired, true, and in essence inerrant. For this reason, they are more suitable as a guide for building institutions than "Das Kapital," "Mein Kampf," or any number of other uninspired writings. Now go take advanced theology and philosophy classes to satisfy your appetite for answers to these kinds of questions.

Originally, yes. But ethics exists seperate to religion. Look at the Bill of Human Rights. It suggests a binding moral code, without explicit reference to faith. But all moral/ethical codes in existence today have their foundation in religious expression.

not right now, but when the world is given over to "seducing spirits" it will. Morality comes from the heart, that is why no one can judge our hearts, but very soon th antichrist will be given the power (by us) to do so. just think of how many freedoms we were willing to give up because of 9/11. do you think it would be any different when more catastrophies happen, and the people think we are no longer under God's protection? which we wont be , since we vote Him out.

Islam does. It's called Shariah law. This allows Muslims to own Black human slaves in Sudan and Mauritania.

If I were a Black American Muslim, I'd be pissed. Instead, I'm an elf with a wand. But I'm still pretty mad about it.

I think that anyone who needs to be told what is right and wrong and that you will go to hell if you don't follow laws needs religion more than the rest of us.
