i have an old camera that takes film. my mom took the film out into light before she rewond it. 10 points to any ideas what happened.

its simply because it got exposed to the light. it damages/erases the film

If it's all black after it was developed, the film was exposed to light, if its all clear the roll wasn't used or wasn't loaded in your camera properly. when you take a picture the lens is open for 1/1000 of a second, that's all it needs to get the picture on film.
And if your mom toke the whole roll out of the camera and rewind it in light , well there goes all your pictures. next time you have a problem take you camera with film in it to get it develop, they can get it out in a dark bag and show you how to rewind the film

The film gets exposed. No result.

my mom did that too!!!! but not the whole roll....just some of my pics had a red glow, or a red glow stripe.... they might be a little ditorted
