Dear Karfa, this is a very good question. I would like to explain by asking you a few questions.
Do you consider yourself to be a good person?
Do you think your good enough to get into heaven?
(lets look at a Gods standard Ten Commandments, and see how you measure up)
Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. there are seven more to go, have you ever hated someone? Jesus called this murder of the heart. If you were to die today and stand before God On Judgement day would you be innocent or guilty by this standard? The BIble says you would be guilty, and the punsihment for your sin is death and Hell. Thats not Gods will he has provided a way for you to be forgiven. He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, so pray something like this: "Dear God, I repent of all of my sins (confess them). This day I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."
The only way to get into heaven is to Repent (turn from sin) and put your full faith in Jesus, not in your own works but soley in the finshed work of Jesus on the cross. Please, make your calling and election sure. God Bless

Just obey all the Ten Commandants and Believe that Jesus died
to save us all. Who knows, a few to God could be trillions so
don't worry about it. Be happy and try to make others around you
happy and harm no one, and one day you'll get there.
I have a poem called "Heaven Must Be a Pretty Big Place" and
it starts out:
Look at all those good folks enter that Pearly Gate
No more have to hurry up and no more have to wait
The air is always fresh here and everyone is feeling great
So get inside for a pleasant ride and let your soul rejuvinate.

Bless your sweet heart, dear, for wanting so earnestly to be a sincere Christian.
Yes, there are two kinds of Christians, maybe even three: (1) The sincerely committed followers of Christ's leadership; (2) those that received Christ's forgiveness but do not follow his leadership in their lives; (3) those that were once sincerely committed but have stopped following his leadership, for one reason or another.
ALL of these Christians will go to heaven.
However, only the first kind, those who remain sincerely committed to Jesus Christ's leadership, will have the additional blessing of continuing to grow in an intimate knowledge and friendship with God.
So DON'T WORRY. You are already saved and you ARE going to heaven, if you have prayed to receive Christ's forgiveness for your sins.
But you are right in that our new life in Christ demands that we no longer live as we did before we became Christians. We must start obeying Christ's commandments: (1) To love God, and (2) to love others as ourselves.
Here are some things you can do:
(1) Pray and read the Bible daily. Learn with God and about God. Grow in your love and friendship with Him.
(2) Ask God to help you find a good church, and start going to church.
(3) Ask Him to bring some sincere Christian friends into your life, people who are true followers of Christ's leadership.
(4) And feel free to e-mail me whenever you want. Just click on my name to the left, then on my name again where it says "Email" before it.

I know u said not to say believe, but to do something and for it to really count in Christianity - believing is everything. That's why it's a faith - there's nothing you can *do* to earn heaven and salvation. Because we're all sinners - what u have to know though is that god is serious when he says in jn. 3:16 that "god so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life."
God's method of saving us sinners is Jesus Christ, his son. To get to heaven, you have to believe first of all that jesus christ is the son of god sent to die for our sins, and become a curse for us so that we would no longer be cursed and doomed to hell - becasue the bible says cursed is anyone who is hung on a tree(ie, crucified).
After you have believed in Jesus, it is still a struggle to overcome sin, but now, you have someone helping you along, carrying you when you fall and listening when you need a friend - a real friend. And once, you believe that Jesus is the only way to get to heaven, you want to please him, and when you do all that the bible tells you to do, you have your ticket to heaven.
"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the father except through me" - Jesus said. Good luck in your quest to find God. Try praying - just talk to God like you would to a friend. He's waiting.

Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
You do not only call upon the name of the Lord, but you must repent of your sins, and admit that Jesus is the one who died on the cross for your sins. You must change the part of your self that lives the unrightous lifestyle before you accepted Jesus as your savior.
Many people call upon the name of God or the Lord and do not have them living inside your heart by not being born again through the blood of Jesus.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Deuteronomy 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deuteronomy 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
Youo must do in life what God wants from you , and not what you want to do for yourself. Once you understand and accept that all things in life must be done for the glory of God, and for His will, then God will shower you with blessings for putting God first in all things.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
If you really want to understand and know more, get yourself a KJV study bible and read it every day. God will open it up to you gradually ,and according to your spiritual growth in Him who leads you. That being Jesus. Accept Jesus as your savior, and there will be nothing in life that you cannot do or achieve that is the wiill of God.
Here is your way to obtain salvation.
If you want to accept Christ, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."
Did you pray this prayer? I pray your answer was YES

the bible says that "The will of God is to belive in the one he sent"
Jesus, Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father exept through Me"
we preach not ourselves but Jesus christ also in the bible
all other replys may include opinions but Jesus is the truth
follow him He said
2 In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4 Where I go, you know, and you know the way."
5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him."
8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say,'Show us the Father?'
10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
13 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,-
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him."

part of God's will is that we worship Him on the day He has said we will recieve a blessing from, a day that has been here since creation, the day that we will always worship Him in heaven. The Sabbath(saturday). this is the issue in the last days according to Rev.14:6-7. the ultimate sign of worship is obedience. who will we follow? God on His Holy Day (Is.58:13-14)(Mk.2:28). or on satans counterfeit day, sunday.

Simply, "you must be born again." The greek meaning of the word believe, is to "join yourself to him". It's not a mere "belief" in him, the devils "believe with fear in trembling", but they have refused to "join themselves to him". It's similar to a marriage, you leave the old life and repent of your sins, and you "cleave" unto Jesus and become born again. The same way a man "shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife and they two shall become one flesh". Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Peace to you and yours.
