Do you like the sound of Bose Audio?

I thought I did, until I compared it to somethign else. Went hunting for speakers for my home theater, and started with Bose. WOW! Ipressive! Kept the movie on the same yamaha receiver, and flipped to some Klipsch high end speakers. Whoa! Even Better! kept the same movie and receiver, and moved on to different speakers until I got to B&W. Unfreaking believable. Would never have thought they were worth the price unless I heard the others in comparison.
I tried the same thing with several styles of music, and the accuracy and room filling sound proved B&W superior to all those others in every test I ran (the salesman left for an hour and just let me play with all his gear).
Bose is good. If you have more money, there is better. If you don't have the money, then JBL and Klipsch make some good stuff at a lower price than Bose.

The Acoustimass AM 500 MK2 series move some serious air and fill most rooms Beautifully!(Without Looking to Big or out of Place!!)
The Surround Sound DVD Home Theater Combo is also Superb!(And only has 2 Channels Plus a Meaty Sub!!)

It's OK... a little pricey thou.
As for car audio you seem to be just paying for the name. I took the BOSE out of my truck & replaced it with my Alpine system.
