Hi, I live in Saudi Arabia, and I'm now studying in Malaysia.
If you go to Saudi Arabia you'll probably be in one of the three main cities, Jeddah, Riyadh, or Dammam/AlKhobar/Dhahran(very close to each other)
In Jeddah (western province) the weather is humid, and there are seasons though the change you'll feel wont be much. In summer temperatures are usually around 35 but can reach upto 40-42 degrees Celcius, during the day, and is around 26-28 degrees celcius at night. During winters(if you can call it that) the maximum temp is around 28, and the minimum around 19-20 celcius. Its humid all around the year since its next to the sea.
In Riyadh (central province), the weather is very dry in summers and slightly humid in winters. Temperatures in summer can reach upto 48 degrees(really) during the day and around 27-30 degrees in the night. In the winter its around 15-18 degrees during the day and 4-6 in the night. Usually rains when the weather changes, but I wouldnt depend on it. One advantage of the dryness is that you hardly sweat.
In Dammam/AlKhobar/Dhahran (eastern province), the weather is EXTREMELY humid, the humidity can reach upto 100% during the summer, along with the temperatures at 49 degrees during the day and 30 in the night(in summer). In winter, the humidity is still there, and the temparatures drop to about 15-19 in the daytime and 4-5 in the night.
In each of these cities, when the weather changes theres a pleasant period of just-right temparatures, that you can enjoy.
Since I'm now studying in Malaysia, I've travelled several times, it takes about 6 and a half hours on a direct flight from Riyadh, 8 from Jeddah. If you go on Gulf Air, it will usually stop in Bahrain, AbuDhabi, Dubai, or Muscat(one or two of them), and sometimes goes via Bangkok. This can take 9-10 hours, but is usually easier. If you have to stop in one of these places for more than 12 hours, they'll provide a hotel room free of charge.
And Saudi Arabia is NOT the same as the United Arab Emirates(UAE), its a completely different country. UAE consists of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras AlKhaimah, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain(the Emirates) and there are other small cities too.
Saudi Arabia is a pretty strict Islamic country, where you wont get Alcoholic drinks, NightClubs, Cinemas etc so if you really need that UAE is the place for you. But Saudi Arabia is cheaper to live int than the UAE. And it is a muuuuuuch more peaceful place. Very safe, too.

Weather: depends on your place but in general it is hot. In summer temperatures might reach up to 50 Celsius! and winter it can be between 20 during the day and 9-5 during the night. It rains only for one or two weeks at most!
The seasons here are mainly summer and winter but if it was a good year you will feel the spring of fall.
It is by average 8 hours of flight far from Malaysia.
And Saudi Arabia is a different country than UAE but they are neighbors. So you can see people going back and forth between them.
It will be a nice place if you blend with Saudi people and get to know there tradition. Also if you are a Muslim you can go to Makkah and Madinah which are both located in the west of SA.

I'm not from Saudi, but I can still answer you.
The weather is hot and humid on the coast not so humid inland. It gets cooler at night. It doesn't quite have for seasons.
It's far from Malaysia and is definitely not the same as the U.A.E.
The UAE is less conservative ie fanatical than Saudi.

Saudi Arabia is in another continent to Malaysia. 1'000s of miles away.
U.A.E. Is a different country entirely to S.A.
I worked there a few years ago. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
A horrible place.
