Everyday I come here and I see some Christians ask questions about Christianity, but mostly trashing Islam or asking questions about Islam (nt even questions, sound more like acusations), I do not see Muslims or Jews doing the same..... Why do some Christians do this? ARE YOU FACINATED BY ISLAM I GUESS? Is cool an all to ask questions but please be respectful!!! Do not step on other people's feelings and hurt them, read first and try to treat others humanly, after all do you know all 2.5 + Muslims in the world one by one? I know I do not know all the Christians!!!

They are probably more interested in Muslims now more than ever bc of the obvious worldwide friction between the two groups. I agree, no one should post "questions" that are obviously just insults/accusations. The same thing is happening with Americans and Buddhism: they see actors and other famous ppl getting involved and now everyone is interested in that too. Dint let it get to you, I've been hassled by Christians my whole life (I'm the only non-believer in my family and my husbands family), they aren't all bad. Just try to answer the truly intellectual questions as honestly and factually as you can. If people have knowledge of Islam then they wont be as ignorant to it.

I think most American Christians knew very little about Muslims, even to form any opinion at all. After 911, there was a negative association, because before that, most people had no experience with Muslims enough to counteract the bad image. To Americans, Muslims appear to be a very closed society, they do not seem to reach out to others who are not Muslim; indeed, the perception is that unless you are Muslim, you are worthless. The Muslim communities in America could do much to counteract this, including charitable activities toward all people, not just Muslims.

I admit that Islam tends to get attacked alot in here. But i would like to point out that people attack Chrsitianity gets attacked quite abit more. There is always someone who wants to relieve their stress and anger on someone, and people of other religions are usually viewed as great targets. There are people of all religions and beliefs attacking everyone else. We all feel hurt, the same as you do.
I am sorry that my fellow christians are being so rude, but your fellow muslims are pretty rude as well. As for "I do not see Muslims or Jews doing the same..... ", you need glasses.

Why does anyone ask questions about anything? Because they don't know the answer. Maybe they are questioning their own religion. Maybe they are just curious as to why Muslims are so dedicated to Islam. Maybe there's something worthwhile there, but if you are not muslim it's not likely that you would be an expert on the topic. I totally agree with you though about the disrespect, but an *sshole is an *sshole. It doesn't really matter what religion they are.

people are afraid of muslims now due to radical acts by a few and the loud voices heard from some of those individuals - if the crusades went on now muslims would ask the same questions about christians - a better question to ask may be - are these questions based on the radical acts of muslims around the world - this does not mean all, but al jazeera has shown enough horrible acts committed by muslims to make peope of all religions and faiths afraid of them.
