i was wondering for those of you who smoke. Do they sell the zippo plastic dot approved travel case at the airport cause my first flight in my life is today but i want to take my old buddy with me since he goes every where else with me and if they dont sell them at the airport maybe a store where i can get one kinda quick thanks

Well...actually one should not pack it in checked baggage since technically it is hazardous material. Flammable at that. The container you speak of is only available from Otterbox. It is the ONLY container approved by DOT to put your zippo in checked baggage.

Don't try and take it onboard with you, you'll run the risk of getting it taken away. I would pack it carefully (since it seems to be an old friend) in your checked baggage.

any lighters that are compressed (eg, zippo's) are not allowed on your carry on luggage, put it in checked luggage. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BRINGING IT ON THE PLANE

i would not take it. when you get off the plane, you can always purchase one at a gas station.
