That's strictly a matter of personal preference.
Generally speaking a sedan is more economical and safer than an SUV. SUVs are top-heavy and tend to roll much more easily than sedans do.
There are some car-based "cross-over" SUVs that do not experience nearly as much trouble with rolllovers as traditional truck-based body-on-frame SUVs.

That is entirely up to you. A SUV is safer because of its size, but they take more gas. A Sedan takes less gas buth as more room. Typically the sedan is the more efficient way to go unless you have a large family. They cost less comparing a well equipped Sedan to a well equipped SUV, and it saves you the expensive maintenance. Good Luck on your search!

ive just sold my suv for a sedan and i already miss the benifits it had,, carried up to 8 people, all the seats but the front 2 wheeled out and left a flat floor for cargo, it could tow 2tons with ease and did 47 mpg, i now have a luxury 4x4 but no load space, and my kids can no longer bring there friends home in the car, but it was the price of change that steered me to my 4x4, id rather have my people carrier back
