There is no proof a person later named Jesus existed formerly Joshua Ben Joseph.
There were many who was expected to be the Messiah but did not cut it. The Isrealits were looking for salvation from Rome and from their crooked King and priests. The mythological actions of the person called JC were actually politically less successful than David Ben Gurion who successfully had the Americans force the Brits to give up Isreal. The JC card is handy because Isreal would not receive all the support from the US and UK if they did not believe the main Christian prophet or to some a god, was a Jew and therefore giving special status, in their minds, to the state of Isreal. This must be a religious attitude because as we have seen Jews have populated many other countries especially northern europe and Russia without special status and in fact were subjected to persecution for the odd logic that the Jews killed JC when in fact it was a Roman admin. and torture process. The emergence and success of the Paulian (Saul) McChristianity over the Jamesian Jewish christianity was reponsible for the spread of the current JC myth, which was used to fuel expansionist and colonial trends in Christian countries and a symbiotic relationship began between the body politic and the body religious in these colonozing countries. The Jewish Messiah is yet to come.

Because he wasn't their messiah, he's the Christians messiah and that is all. They believe that he was a man, nothing more. Don't assume people are missing out because they don't believe Jesus was the son of God.

Because they did not recognise Him, they where looking for a man in fine clothing who was wealthy, they did not realise that Jesus was Him, they where looking for "outward signs" and "earthly" wealth.
They also did not like His authority, many times in the Bible you can see that the religious leaders (the teachers of the law, the Jewish) had an argument with Jesus because He healed on the sabbath day etc.
Check out the 4 links below, invaluable for finding things out!

Quite simple you say many ,I say all, as no Jewish person believes that Jesus(PBUH) is ,was their Messiah, if they did they would be Christians, bit of a silly question

Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. They believe that, as predicted in the Old Testament, he will be a king or ruler, not a poor wandering teacher and healer. I'm not Jewish, so someone please correct me if I am in error. Thanks.

It always amazes me, the lack of knowledge that you amero-christos posses about other cultures.
You are told one thing and you believe it, blindly and without thought or question, how easily lead you all are.
`They` have done a good job on you lot haven`t they ?
Oh well, all out global war, here we come, led by the americans in their rush to armegeddon !
