i was wondering for those of you who smoke. Do they sell the zippo plastic dot approved travel case at the airport cause my first flight in my life is today but i want to take my old buddy with me since he goes every where else with me and if they dont sell them at the airport maybe a store where i can get one kinda quick thanks

You can't bring ligthers to the airport, so they would make you throw it away once you passed security. I was at the airport last week, and didn't see anything Zippo, or lighters of any kind.

I don't think that you can take ANY lighter through airport security anymore. You might be able to sneak your Zippo in your suitcase if you are checking baggage, but I don't think under any circumstances could you carry one on. I wouldn't try it if you are really attached to it. OR... call your airline and ask them.

Funny thing, though - I collect matchbooks and have managed more than once to bring back souvenir matchbooks from trips since 9/11....... always in my checked luggage. If you are a smoker, try sneaking a book of matches in one of your checked bags. That way you won't have to stand outside the terminal asking strangers if they have a light.

Forget it no carry on matches or lighters of any type are allowed past the last check point and long gone are they the days when you can even find a match beyond that point so I agree if your going to try use something that you do not mind losing or just simply not at all
