Is he some sort of a nobility, of asian culture or religion. I know some families go against their offspring to marry other culture, race, religion. Nobilities want nobility. Respect of culture, you can try to fight for it or learn their culture and tradition so that they may accept you. Is this the case?

But I want you to know I never heard of disapproval because you were born and raised on different state before. Are you sure thats the real deal?

I am thinking this person is just through with you that he justs wants to get something from you. And now he's done thats it.

This is why I think so, ofcourse I could misunderstood you story. A guy you met courts, and tells you he loves you and you also love him and you've together for 2 years and 2 months. Now he tells you he can't marry you because of geography?

I know race, religion, bloodlines, culture, traditions, believes are sometimes very important to the family.

A man who loves a girl from another race will fight to marry the girl against their family's approval.
A man who from the very start knows and wants to marry a girl from his own race, religion, or beliefs will not even try to divert from finding a girl from his own race or religion. In case he fell in love with someone diverting from that he will try to fight the feeling or if he can help it fight for her or try to persuade her to change religion or learn their culture. Move to their neighborhood.
A man open to anything irregarding religion, culture, race, beliefs will be open to any girl.

You do the math. I'm just giving you closure. He's not giving you the real reason. You can find out the real reason if your ready but be prepared cause you really may loose him or already lost him.

That is the first time I have ever heard that excuse. He must have lost a lot of sleep coming up with a story like that. I have heard of families against inter racial marriage, against two different religions getting married, etc. ... but NEVER have I heard of a family that will not allow their only son to marry out of state. Girl, get a clue, he is a liar and he isn't even very good at that!

that's a pretty weird reasoning for not wanting to marry someone, it's not like one can move. He might be hiding something from you
