Long term? No. Your body has a metabolic base rate it needs just to lie still and do nothing - and thats normally 1000-1200 calories a day. Anything less than 1500 calories a day is unhealthy for most people, unless they are very small.

The prisoners in the death camps during WWII were given between 600 and 800 calories a day.
Millions of people died from starvation.

At only two hundred calories a day, you are putting your own life and health at serious risk.

no, not for very long , you'd last a month or two if you kept up your fluid levels but it wouldn't be fun!!! you need at least 900 to survive though you would loose a lot of weight if you kept it up. A hunger striker can last up to 67 days - that's the longest I've heard without medical intervention and that person died

You can live. But the qaulity of life is awful. I am a recovering anorexic. I would suggest that if you intened to diet [which I'm sure you are because I know I used to lie about everything.] You do it the healthy way. It takes longer but believe me. Don't put your body through hell. It is not worth it.

That's not really living at all. But it's possible, I guess. It wouldn't be a good idea for anyone to try it. They could get really sick. Get a doctor's advise. It's the best way to go. I really hope you are not considering it.

Yeah just look at Nicole Ritchie. If you want to look like her go ahead. But honestly you could make yourself real sick either with Anorexia or Bulimia. Between 1000-1200 calories is good.

How many calories you need depends on various factors, including height, total body weight, ratio of fat to muscle, age, gender, genes and physical exercise. (Plus illness, pregnancy etc.)
