Completely variable from substance to substance. Some drugs are out as soon as you can pee them out, other stuff like heavy metals (mercury, cadmium and the like) just never gets eliminated and accumulates.

Depends on the drug, the person's usage, and overall health or physical activty. Usually anywhere from like 3 days for alcohol to 3 weeks for some and 3 months for others.
Even though some had cleaned through your body, tsome drugs are in the proteins in your hair and police can find traces of them when they take hair samples..
Chemicals, like carbon monoxide, are not able to be filtered by the body. So they stay in until you die.

Need to know what drug it is. Some stay for hours, some for days, some for a few weeks. Depending on what kind of job you're trying to get they can do a hair test and that goes back for years.

It depends on the drugs and the type of tests you take. Pot can stay in the system for up to a month.

It depends, and it all depends on the test that they do. If it's a hair folicle test it can go back for years. That's why you see alot of people/men shave their hair off.
